Meet The Author

My name is Cori Nuñez. I’m a 30 something year old residing in Virginia. I’ve been married for almost 12 years and within those years we’ve accumulated 3 beautiful girls; each one full of personality, adding years to our lives. I’m a runner, I’m obsessed with the show “Friends,” I’m a writer, I study the word of God and since 2019 my husband has been the youth Pastor at our church and I have served alongside him. I love my family and I love Jesus.

I have always loved to write. I discovered this love in a creative writing class my junior year of high school and I really delved into it when I started a photography business. Before I built a client base, my blog served as an online journal. I shared my faith and my family. Eventually it turned into a showcase of my photography work, but that blog was actually where I shared a very personal and life changing story.

In February of 2019 my husband was diagnosed with ALS at just 27 years old. We hadn’t even really started living yet and we were rocked by this terminal diagnosis. Since then it has been mostly valleys (if I’m being honest) with the occasional mountain top. However; since receiving this diagnosis, God has taught me so many valuable lessons. I wanted to share the kindness and goodness of God in suffering by creating a place for me to publish these thoughts and lessons. I want you to know that even in the valleys of life, even in your suffering, you are becoming more like Him.

So enjoy the many stories, thought dumps and lessons the Lord has downloaded in me over the years. And I encourage you to try to find that small stitch of hope in whatever your circumstance is.
